U.S offers to help Nigeria in hunt for abducted girls

U.S offers to help Nigeria in hunt for abducted girls
The United States has offered to help Nigeria in the search for the 200+ schoolgirls
abducted by Boko Haram men on April 14th.
"We have been engaged with the Nigerian government in discussions on what we
might do to help support their efforts to find and free these young women,"
State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf told a daily briefing. "We will
continue to have those discussions and help in any way we can."
Harf did not elaborate on the kind of assistance Washington is offering, but said:
"We know Boko Haram is active in the area and we have worked very closely with the
Nigerian government to build their capacity to fight this threat." Continue...
Separately, a group of U.S. senators introduced a resolution condemning the
abduction and urging U.S. government assistance in the rescue effort.
"The U.S. and the international community must work with the Nigerian
government to ensure these girls are reunited with their families and deepen
efforts to combat the growing threat posed by Boko Haram," said Senator
Chris Coons of Delaware, the chairman of the Senate's African Affairs
subcommittee, and one of the resolution's six sponsors.
In fiscal year 2012, the United States provided over $20 million in security
assistance to Nigeria, part of that to build the country's military, boost its capacity
to investigate terrorist attacks and enhance the government's forensic capabilities,
she said.

Empowering police wives will improve National Security - Zahra Bunu Abubakar

Empowering police wives will improve National
Security - Zahra Bunu Abubakar
Mrs Zahra Bunu-Abubakar is the President Police Officer’s Wives
Association (POWA), and wife of the Inspector General of Police. This
pretty amiable personality has distinguished herself by impacting on
the lives of Police officers wives. In an exclusive interview with Sweet
Angel she reveals how she intends to drive home the vision of POWA
and how she met her husband amongst other issues. Excerpts after the
cut...
Madam can you briefly introduce yourself? I am Mrs Zahra Bunu-
Abubakar, I come from a very big family, not just a nuclear family but
extended family. I went to primary School in Maiduguri, Secondary
School in Jos Air force Military School, after which I proceeded to UK
for my A levels. I later came back to study Civil Engineering in Ahmadu
Bello University Zaria after which I went for my Masters in
construction management. My Father is an architect and I think that
motivated my choice of study. I practiced Civil Engineering for a while
and later moved to oil and gas that is where I am right now.
What kind of ambition did you nurse while growing up?
When I was young at about the ages of 7or 8 my Dad engaged in the
building of NNPC, after some years when I had gotten into secondary
school a lot of people talked and commended the building. I started
nursing the ambition of constructing such a building that would attract
the admiration of all, but I guess that changed.
What changed it?
Like I mentioned earlier I enjoyed going to site but I encountered a lot
of challenges.
How much impact did your Dad have on you?
Not just my Dad, my parents inculcated morals in us, we had both
western and Islamic education, we were taught to be honest, we were
brought up in such a way that our peers looked up to us.
What is it like being the wife of the Inspector General of Police?
I wasn’t used to being in the limelight, I am more of a private person,
initially it was quite challenging but he supported, guided and
protected me and now I am better off.
How do you cope with your husband’s hectic schedule?
I knew the man I was marrying, and I also know the security situation
in the country and how much Nigerians need him. I also know that
security in our country should be given utmost priority in order to
create a better country and conducive environment for our children.
Despite his tight schedule he tries his best to create time for his
family.
What is your experience heading an organization like POWA?
The Police Force is the largest single organization in Nigeria and as
such POWA is a large family. POWA encompasses both the wives and
children of Police officers. It is Police Officers Wives Association but
we impact on the lives of our children. A lot of women are idle we all
know that sourcing for funds is quite challenging. At the moment we
solicit for funds from the general public, captains of industries, and
individuals. It is worthy to note that the Nigeria Police Force have
always been of support to POWA. Empowering Police wives will help in
tackling insecurity in our land. It will also help in eradicating
Corruption, as this will accord the wives the opportunity to be of
assistance to their husbands, thereby aiding to eradicate corruption in
the Force. I feel if they are empowered they would have every reason
to contribute their portion in actualizing the vision of POWA.
How have you been able to surmount the Challenges of POWA?
Like I said earlier I came from a large family and there are a lot of
women than there are men. I happen to be the first in a family of
thirteen, this and the fact that I have a military background to a
certain extent has broadened my ability to manage POWA effectively.
My father was a politician and I was involved one way or the other. I
am used to working with different caliber of people and that has
helped. Our major challenge is in the area of funding we have a lot of
plans mapped out for the women but insufficient funds have always
posed as a challenge. Another challenge asides funds is that most times
when we hold meetings a lot of women don’t attend these meetings,
and their excuses boils down to funding.
What has been your major achievement since assumption into
office?
After taking over from the Acting President in November last year, I
continued in line with what the previous President had been doing.
Every regime has its strategies, so what we are presently working on
right now is the commemoration of POWA’s 50th anniversary which is
set to come by April. We have lined up of activities which comprise
sporting activities, talent shows, fund raising and dinner amongst
others. The sporting activity and talent show is meant to engage our
children, we have prizes for winners. We shall be partnering with IGP
to further encourage and support the winners. The talent shows are
for both the women and children of Police officers. A lot of them
don’t have the platform to showcase their talents. This is also an
opportunity to bring them to public limelight. The proceeds from the
fund raising dinner is meant to acquire skills for the women. A lot of
the women have small businesses but do not know how to run or
manage them properly; we shall be organizing courses for women on
that. We are also trying to build a youth centre in Dedei barracks,
which is the biggest barracks in Abuja. There are lots of idle youths
due to lack of access to job opportunities, this centre is meant to
engage them. There will be skill acquisition centre for the women as
well. We shall also organize lectures and trainings for selected women
from each state which will run for two days. Asides marking the 50th
anniversary of POWA, we have some accomplishments to our credit.
Earlier this year there was a School commissioned at Asaba Delta state.
There is also the Lagos secretariat multipurpose hall that was also
commissioned in Lagos. We are also currently visiting all the barracks
here in Abuja to find out how we can assist and empower the women.
The issue of empowerment in POWA cannot be overemphasized that is
why we are trying to integrate that into our vision and mission
statement for POWA. I am also driving a new culture of cleanliness in
the barracks, we have enforced meetings and sanitation in the
barracks, and mapped out sanctions for defaulters.
What is the vision of POWA?
POWA aims to become an effective, sustainable organization that
actively enhances the quality of life of women and children of the
Police and serve as a recognized resource for community partnership,
post conflict rehabilitation and youth empowerment.
How do you manage, combining your roles as a wife and POWA
President?
Obviously my husband is my priority, the association teaches us to
support our husbands and so I give him all the required support. My
husband is passionate about changing the lives of the Police, he does
his best to support POWA.
How has POWA being of assistance to the widows?
We have been trying to ensure they get the benefits of their late
husbands. Sometimes these women don’t even know who the next of
kin to their husband is, the process of documentation, or how to go
about it. During our visits to the barracks we brought in welfare and
pension experts to lecture and enlighten them on these important
issues. We are presently in discussion with Police Micro Finance Bank
to help give soft loans to these women to ensure they have access to
funding.
What has being in the limelight denied you of doing?
I don’t think being in the limelight has denied me anything much. Like
I said earlier I am generally a private person, so I try to be more of a
homely person.
How do you relax?
I like to read a lot, watch movies, and travel.
What is your definition of style, and how do you like to dress?
For me style is not going for what is in vogue, it’s about wearing what
suites you and makes you look elegant. I wear what I think looks nice
on me and make me look elegant.
What life philosophy guides your daily living and interaction with
people?
I generally belief that you should treat one as you would like to be
treated, I live my life that way and I am always conscious of life
hereafter.
How did you meet your husband?
At a mutual friends house.

Breaking News! Court Declares FRSC’s New Number Plates Illegal

Federal Road Safety Commission’s threat to impound vehicles come October 1 might not just happen any more, after a Federal High Court in Lagos this morning declared the new number plates illegal, saying it’s unconstitutional.
The judge said; that it was unlawful for the commission to impose the new number plates on Nigerians, where no existing law permitted it.

God bless Mr Emmanuel. Whoop! Whoop!! But what of  those of us that have changed  out number plates? We want our money back Lol

None Of My Boys Can Bribe Me – Keshi

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi yesterday has rebuked claims that he has been corrupted by bribes to field some players and therefore leave some others out.

Answering question yesterday at the Tom Tom Media Roundtable with journalist, Villarreal striker, Ikechukwu Uche exclusion from the national team was the main topic.

The Villarreal striker is having the season of his life in Spain but has been overlooked by Keshi due.

Keshi had spent most of his time answering questions concerning the Ike Uche and Osaze issue but was visibly stunned when a reporter asked him that he possibly refused to invite Uche because the player refused to let him manage him.

Keshi first immediately asked for the reporters name and then advanced to say: ‘’Before these players started playing football, I’ve made my money. They cannot give me money to satisfy my hunger.

In the past, other coaches did it. I, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi can’t be bribed. You can’t bribe me. There is nothing you can use to entice me. Many rich people come to me with money to influence calling their wards or playing them. I shunned them. Equatorial Guinea promised to pay me more money than what Nigeria is paying me.

The most important thing to me is coaching the Super Eagles. Bringing joy to so many millions of Nigerians is my ultimate joy. I was with Ike Uche in South Africa during the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

I have no personal grudge against him. He is a good player. But not all good players play for their national team. If you are not a team player, you can’t play for me. Nobody has money to buy me because I’m well by God’s grace’

Update on Ibadan House of Horror: victims recount how they were kidnapped

Some victims rescued from the house of horror in the Soka area of Ibadan in Oyo, who have started gradually regaining their sanity, have recounted how they found themselves at the kidnappers den.
Speaking with a Punch reporter, one of  the victims, Nafiu Shittu, said he was a busy selling his locally made pile medicine when he was kidnapped and brought into the forest 4 months ago.
"I am a native of Ibadan, living in the Foko area of the city. I sold pile medicine to people. I was doing the business on the day I was kidnapped about four months ago. After going round the area where I had customers, I felt tired and decided to rest in the Gate area. Suddenly, a bus stopped by my side and two men came out and forced me into the back seat of the vehicle. That was all I could remember. When I regained consciousness, I saw myself in a room in the forest, chained to a wall. I was too tired to struggle and as the days passed, I became frail because I was not given anything to eat."
Nafiu who stressed that he was not a mad man and so was not taken to the horror house for treatment, said he saw dead bodies in the place but couldn't confirm if they were killed there or not. Continue...

“There were other people, including young and adult women, who cried daily. I saw dead bodies being taken out frequently, but I don’t know if they were killed. Maybe they died of hunger. People moved around the building, but I don’t know if they knew we were there." Nafiu said
Another victim, Titi Dokpesi said she was in front of her house when she was grabbed by two men.
"I live at Awolowo compound in Oke Bola, Ibadan. I am not mad and I am not an old woman. Two months ago, I was in front of our house when some men grabbed me and said I was under arrest. Before I could protest, I was put in a bus and driven away. We did not go to any police station and I still don’t know how we reached the forest. I had N10,000 with me, but they took it. I am 45 years. In the few months I spent there, I aged quickly for lack of care. We were fed once a week.”
Meanwhile during his visit to the forest on Monday, the Oyo State Governor, Ajimola Ajimobi ordered that the C of O of the forest land be revoked and the place cleared for visibility and easy access. He expressed shock at the situation, saying this was a case of man's inhumanity to man and ordered a full scale investigation on the matter with a view of bring those involved to book.

N12m Is Not Enough, Pay For Our Aides Too, Delegates Tell FG

Some delegates at the on-going National Conference in Abuja have been saying in hush tones that the N12m the Federal Government plan to pay them for the duration of the conference is not enough, and they ought to have made plans for their aides too.
The N12m fee includes transportation, accommodation and feeding, even though they will always have free lunch at the venue of the conference, but some of the delegates still believe the money is not enough for them  to start paying their aides from it, so they want it addressed, a source said.

Lady beats 10 year old niece into unconsciousness for bed-wetting

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old security guard, Joy Amodu (pictured above), for allegedly torturing her 10-year-old niece, Foziya Danjuma for several hours till the little girl fell unconscious. All because Foziya peed on her bed on February 28, 2014, Punch reports
According to the police, the suspect as punishment, used a spatula to beat the 10-year-old and inserted Aboniki balm (methyl salicylate ointment) inside her private parts and her eyes. The suspect also allegedly inflicted teeth bites all over the girl’s body. It was after the girl fainted during the beating that her aunt rushed her to a hospital in the Ajah area, but she was rejected. Amodu then took her niece to a military hospital on the Victoria Island, but the victim was referred to the Military Hospital, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. It was at the military hospital that a non-governmental organisation, Hands that Care, took over the case and reported it to the police.
The suspect, crying profusely, said she only beat her niece on three occasions. That the victim was her uncle’s daughter and she would never attempt to kill her.

“I am very sorry for my action. I did not envisage what happened. The first time she wet the bed, I warned her to stop bedwetting because she is too old for that. She was left under my care by her father who is my uncle, so I needed to correct her. This is the second time she wet the bed and I needed to teach her a lesson. As I was beating her, she passed out. She was released to me by her father when I told him about the strange sickness that used to hit me because I was lonely and needed a companion.”

The victim could not talk much, but when asked if she was tortured by her cousin, she nodded in approval. National Coordinator of the Hands that Cares, Mrs. Jacinta Nworie, said  the girl was released to the suspect by her father in Kogi State because Amodu promised to train her in Lagos.
“The victim told us that the suspect bit her, inserted ointment into her private part and used stick to beat her up.”

Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, who expressed shock over the incident, described Amodu’s action as wicked.

She said:
“On February 29, 2014, the police at Onikan Division got information that a little girl was in one hospital in critical condition. The officers went there and found the victim with her face and hands swollen as a result of beating. The victim was later referred to the Military Hospital, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi for better treatment. An NGO, Hands that Care, was invited into the case by a good Nigerian. The NGO said it would settle the girl’s hospital bills, but called for Amodu’s prosecution.

It was learnt that the family members were already pleading that the victim and the suspect be released to them, saying it was a family matter. But a police source said since the victim was a minor, the government would decide if the case should be treated as a family matter or not.

Australia finds 2 potential bits of missing Malaysian plane wreckage

Two pieces of wreckage that are possibly from the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 - one estimated to be 78ft in size - have been found to the west of Australia, it was announced yesterday. The debris was spotted on satellite imagery and a total of four aircraft have been sent to investigate the sighting, some 1553 miles off the coast of Perth.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced the potential breakthrough to Parliament in Canberra Thursday, but warned the wreckage may not be from the missing flight. Continue...

John Young of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said at an afternoon press conference that one aircraft was already on scene searching the area, and three others were due to meet it into Thursday evening. A merchant ship dispatched in the search operation was also due to arrive around 6p.m. Canberra time.

The imagery, which was progressively captured by satellites passing over the area, has not yet been released to the media. Commercial satellites have been tasked with collecting higher resolution images of the floating objects.

Mr Young said visibility was poor in the area, hampering both air and satellite efforts and he estimated the water in the location where the debris was spotted to be several thousand feet deep.
'I must emphasize that these objects may be very difficult to locate,' he told reporters.

Photos: EFCC arrests 4 undergraduates, 3 others for internet scam

This is an EFCC press release. Find it below...
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested four undergraduates and three others for alleged involvement in Internet scam.
They were arrested in two different locations in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The undergraduates are: Otuyalo Damilola (right), a 400 level student of Computer Science of Lead City University, Ibadan; Adegbuyi Michael (left), an undergraduate of University of Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia; Ibrahim Aruna, (centre) a student of Mineral Resources Engineering, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State and Adeosun Matthew, a 200 level student of Banking and Finance, University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Others are Afolabi Ayodele, Balogun Olumuyiwa and Abiola Okunola.

Five of the suspects: Aruna, Matthew, Ayodele, Olumuyiwa and Okunola were arrested together at the Iyana Adeoyo Branch of a first generation bank in Dugbe, Ibadan, while they were collecting proceeds of scam via Western Union.

The other two suspects: Damilola and Michael were picked up in a rented apartment in Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The arrest of the seven suspects followed intense surveillance by operatives of the Commission who had been on their trail for sometime. One of the suspects, Olumuyiwa, admitted conning a white American lady, Sarah Jorth, in a romance scam. He said he was used a false name (Vincente Marco) to deceive her into believing that he would marry her and in the process raked in more than $450,000 ( Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars) from her.

Two other suspects: Damilola and Michael also confessed that they were into Internet scam to make ends meet. According to Damilola, "I am into yahoo yahoo (Internet fraud) and I do this to earn a living. I make use of a laptop to access Internet, to look for vulnerable white men and women who will fall for my scam. I acquired my Infinity Jeep and Honda Accord car through the fraud". He also admitted that he had been in the business since 2010.

Michael confessed that he started Internet scam since 2000 when he was a student at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Even when he moved to Malaysia, he was still engrossed in the business. "Anytime I come home on holiday, I look for vulnerable targets because the rigour of studies in Malaysia would not allow me to do it there,” he said. He disclosed that his specialty was lottery scam.

Items recovered from the suspects include: three laptop computers; one flash drive; two Visafone modems; one traveling passport; one Infinity Fx 35 SUV, one Honda Accord car and some bank documents.

They will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Satellite data shows hijacked Malaysian plane was last seen flying towards Pakistan

Satellite data shows hijacked
Malaysian plane was last seen
flying towards Pakistan
Investigators say the missing Malaysia Airlines jet
was hijacked, steered off-course and could have
reached Pakistan. A Malaysian government official
said people with significant flying experience
could have turned off the flight's communication
devices.
The representative said that hijacking theory was
now 'conclusive', and, as a result, police have
raided the luxury homes of both the captain
(right) and the co-pilot (left)
The search operation has now been focused on
two 'corridors', one which extends from north
west from Thailand to the Kazakstan-
Turkmenistan border and the other which opens
out into the southern Indian Ocean. Continue...
Cuntries in the plane's potential flightpath have
now joined a huge diplomatic effort to locate the
missing passengers, but China described the
revelation as 'painfully belated'.
While Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak
refused to confirm that flight MH370 was taken
over, he admitted 'deliberate action' on board the
plane resulted in it changing course and losing
connection with ground crews.
The plane's communication system was switched
off as it headed west over the Malaysian seaboard
and could have flown for another seven hours on
its fuel reserves.
It is not yet clear where the plane could have
been taken, however Mr Razak said the most
recent satellite data suggests the plane could
have headed to one of two possible flight
corridors.

March 8 along one of the corridors, seven hours
and 31 minutes after take off, but the plane could
have deviated further from these points.
U.S. investigators have not ruled out the
possibility that the passengers are being held at
an unknown location and suggest that faint
'pings' were being transmitted for several hours
after the flight lost contact with the ground.
NASA has also joined the international search
operation, analysing satellite data and images that
have already been gathered.
Malaysian authorities and others are urgently
investigating the two pilots and 10 crew
members, along with the 227 passengers on

lovers.
She said she stopped relating with Kingsley when
she discovered that he was desperate to have
sex with her despite the fact that he knew that
she was married and had two kids.
She said after several attempts by him to sleep
with her failed, he became aggressive and when
she noticed that, she started avoiding him.
Amaka said Kingsley eventually traced her to a
salon at Pen Crescent, Apapa, Lagos where she
went to have her hair done and attacked her in
front of the beauty shop.
“He waited for me outside the salon. When he
saw me, he started abusing me after I refused his
advances. I replied him and he hit my eye and
threw me on the floor. He started hitting his
head on my eyes until I started bleeding,” she
told the court.
Amaka said it was their neighbours who came to
her rescue and took her to the hospital, while
Kingsley immediately started his motorcycle and
rode off after attacking her.
She alleged that after the attack, Kingsley boasted
that nothing would happen to him because he
has money to bail himself out of any difficult
situation.
Amaka reported the case to the police but alleged
that she was asked to collect N30,000 for her eye
operation in order to settle the matter out of
court.
Amaka said she had spent over N200,000 on the
surgeries but they were not successful.
She called on the state government to come to
her aid and ensure justice was done in the
matter. Meanwhile, when Kingsley was contacted,
he admitted attacking Amaka but said he wanted
to settle the matter out of court but she refused.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding magistrate, Mrs O.A Adegbite,
granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two
sureties in like sum.
He was, however, remanded in prison custody
pending when he will fulfill his bail conditions
The matter was adjourned till 24 March.

Dad accused of killing his daughter and her girlfriend because they were gay

Dad accused of killing his
daughter and her girlfriend
because they were gay
A devout Muslim man is being accused of killing
his lesbian daughter and her girlfriend at his
home. The bodies of Britney Cosby (pictured right
in the pic) and Crystal Jackson (pictured left),
both 24, were found behind a Dumpster in Texas
on March 7th, but police believe they were killed
somewhere else and later dumped there.
James Larry Cosby has been arrested and
charged with two counts of evidence-tampering
and police are planning to upgrade his charges to
capital murder once they finish their investigation
as all fingers point to him as the murderer
because evidence has so far shown that the
ladies were killed in his home. His daughter died
from blows to the head while her girlfriend died
from a gunshot wound. Continue...
Britney (left) and Crystal (right) dated for two
years before they were murdered
It was the girl's mother that suggested to police
that James Cosby may have killed the girls
because he'd said to her a few times that he
hated that his daughter was in lesbian
relationship and became enraged after the ladies
moved in together. She said father and daughter
didn't see eye to eye and argued a lot about her
sexuality. Cosby had even once attacked Crystal
at his home.
Investigators went to the father's house after
obtaining a search warrant and found blood and
other evidence that suggested something had
happened at the home. They found blood on the
walls, on the sofa and on the speakers. They also
found writings condemning homosexuality.
The police officers seized a hammer and noticed
a missing window shutter. A similar shutter was
found covered in blood and bearing James
Cosby's fingerprints next to the women's bodies.
Cosby, who has a long criminal history, had been
released from prison about five months ago.

6 die in stampede at immigration employment tests venues across Nigeria

6 die in stampede at immigration
employment tests venues across
Nigeria
The Nigerian Immigration Service decided to
conduct a test for 3,000 vacant positions and the
number of Nigerian Youths that went to the
various test locations was overwhelming! Above
is a collage of the crowd at the respective venues
of the Immigration Service Test carried out in
stadiums across the country this morning.
The Abuja stadium which is to sit not more than
60,000 people had well over 80,000 youths and
only one entrance to the stadium was opened for
the applicants. It's being reported that at least six
people died during a stampede at some of the
venues of the poorly coordinated test. The dead
are mostly from the Abuja venue. I hear a
pregnant woman was among the deceased.
The dead applicants have been taken to the
National Hospital Abuja morgue. May their souls
rest in peace...Amen.
It's important to note that these applicants paid
N1,000 application fee and there were over 2
million applicants...you do the calculation, that's
about N2billion. We need the Minister of Interior
and Comptroller General of Immigration to
address what happened today. Continue to see

Chris Brown jailed after being thrown out of rehab...

Chris Brown jailed after being thrown out of rehab...
According to a TMZ report, Chris Brown was arrested in Malibu yesterday after
getting kicked out of rehab for violating rules...
From TMZ ,
Chris Brown is in jail right now, because he violated a judge's order by getting
booted from the rehab facility where he's been living for nearly 4 months ...
TMZ has learned. The judge in the Rihanna beating case ordered Chris to live
in the Malibu rehab facility for 90 days to get anger management therapy, and
he completed the stint earlier this month.  But ... at the last court hearing, the
judge modified things and ordered Chris to stay in the facility while the
Washington D.C. assault case ran its course. The deal was this ... if Chris left
rehab, he would go directly to jail.Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ...
Brown was thrown out of the rehab facility this morning, for violating "internal
rules."  We do not know precisely what Chris did, but we're told it did not
involve violence or drugs.Sources tell TMZ ... Chris was caught having "an
inappropriate relationship" with a female worker at the beginning of the
month, but that is NOT why he was thrown out today. As you recall, Chris was
previously thrown out of a different facility for throwing a rock at his mom's
car window. Chris was picked up by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies this
afternoon and is now in jail ...being held with no bail.

Man Grow Monster Arms After Injecting Himself With Alcohol (See Photos

Arlindo de Souza has grown 29in biceps - the biggest in Brazil - after injecting the filler into his body, where it causes appearance of swollen muscles.Mr de Souza, who is single and lives with his elderly mother, Josefa Gomes de Souza, in Olinda on the coast of Brazil's Pernambuco state admits it can cause dangerous infections. Some users have had their arms amputated. Others have died.
'My friend Paulinho, he passed away from doing these things.I felt his death a lot. He took it, I took it, but he went beyond the limit. I advise no-one to take this oil.The guy gave it to me. He said, "Take this, it will make you grow in days".I loaded the syringe, put it in my arm, injected it and it swelled me up right there and then.
'To tell you the truth, I didn't feel a thing. There was sometimes a bit of dizziness but nothing apart from that.I was working out the same so my strength stayed the same - nothing changed.
'Most people who take it do not know how to apply it. They will use just any old blood vessel. Some will end up loosing an arm, another needs an operation, some may even lose their lives.
