Man Crowned MR UGLY Says ''Girls fight for me now because i have celebrity status'' [PHOTO]

Mr Ugly,
William
Masvinu
says
women
are
throwing
themselves
at his feet.
But he is not interested. Scooping the Mr Ugly title
twice in a row is undisputable testament
that Harare man, Masvinu, is indeed very ugly and
deserves the accolade. Masvinu who shares his
mobile with his wife Alice Chabhanga who is almost
always by his side, said he does not have time for
‘girls’. “Zvevasikana handina dhiri nazvo, I have my
own girl at home and one needs to be careful these
days because there are diseases,” said
Masvinu. Masvinu is confident of his looks and is
unfazed by people who stare at him in the
streets. “My ugliness comes naturally to me and
although I did a bit to prepare for the show, I let my
looks do the rest. Now I am a celebrity, when
people meet me in the street they shout Mr Ugly
and I wave at them happily,” he said. Masvinu, who
is a part time mechanic, revealed that he has also
ventured into acting and features in a film titled
Fuse Yatsva which has already been produced.
“These days I spend time selling my film on the
streets of Harare and people like it,” he said. Last
year, the 39-year-old was quoted bemoaning the
lack of corporate support for “celebrities” like him.
He said as the reigning Mr Ugly Harare, he should
be in the same league with superstars such as
Oliver Mtukudzi. “Despite my celebrity status, my
life hasn’t changed and I still struggle to make ends
meet,” he said.
“The corporate world should support me as I am a
celebrity just like other musicians and top people,”
he said. But, he added, as a celebrity he now enjoys
numerous free drinks and beer and often gets into
shows without paying as people “respect”
his celebrity status. It is just a matter of time before
Masvinu proves how far he can go as a celebrity or
whether he will make headlines for grabbing other
people’s wives

BOKO HARAM VIDEO: Shekau reappears,

BOKO HARAM VIDEO: Shekau reappears,
flays Obama, JTF, others
on december 26, 2013 at 9:25 am in news
Shekau
Leader of terrorist sect Boko Haram Abubakar
Shekau again appeared in a video clip released by
the sect on yesterday, claiming responsibility for
last week’s attack in Benisheikh, Borno State,
where about 160 people were maimed.
Previously, an erstwhile Joint Task Force (JTF)
spokesman in Borno State, Lt Col Sagir Musa, had
in a statement on August 19, stated, “Intelligence
report available to the Joint Task Force (JTF)
Operation Restore Order revealed that Abubakar
Shekau, the most dreaded and wanted terrorist
leader, may have died.”
Musa had added that Shekau died of gunshot
wounds received in an encounter with JTF
operatives in one of their camps in Sambisa forest
on June 30, 2013. “Shekau was mortally wounded in
the encounter and was sneaked into Amitchide — a
border community in Cameroon — for treatment
from which he never recovered,” the JTF statement
said.
However, a video was posted by the sect online ,
showing Shekau, who was clad in a military fatigue,
rained invectives on his enemies: “Here I am, alive,
hale and hearty. Sagir Musa should bury himself in
shame, President Jonathan (of Nigeria) should bury
himself in shame, President Obama (of United
States of America) should bury himself in shame,
and President Francois Hollande (of France) should
bury himself in shame, Queen Elizabeth (of England)
should bury herself in shame.
“They said I am dead, but here I am. The world
should know that I am alive and will only die at the
appointed time. Everybody should be judged
according to the dictates of his conscience.
“What I am doing is written in the Holy Qur’an and
the Hadith and I will not stop. I challenge all the
clerics of the world to question my deeds. Those
underrating my capacity should have a re-think. I
will never allow democracy to thrive.
“The concept of government of the people by the
people for the people will never be possible and will
never exist. Democracy shall be replaced only by
the government of Allah, from Allah and for Allah.”
He stated the Nigerian military will never subdue his
group. “Nigerian soldiers are late. After killing many
of them in Monguno and Benisheik, we have
snatched their armoured carriers and Hilux vans
and then hoisted Islamic flags on them. We now
move freely with them,” he said.
meanwhile, the Army Public Relations Unit said it
would study the video clips that claimed someone
who had died several weeks ago is alive.

Jonathan drags Obasanjo to rights commission over criminal allegations on december 25, 2013 at 6:36 am in news President Jonathan Goodluck yesterday submitted himself to the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, for probe over criminal allegations against him by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Former President Obasanjo had written an 18-page open letter to Jonathan, accusing him of incompetence, engaging in anti-party activities, ethnicism and training about 1,000 snipers ahead of the 2015 polls. Jonathan, who denied the allegations in his response, is specifically inviting the rights commission to unravel the truth in the allegation that his government had begun training over 1,000 snipers to terminate his political opponents. In a letter to the commission, President Jonathan is seeking for a thorough investigation of the allegations against him, touching on alleged human rights abuses. The letter, signed by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, SAN, on the directive of Jonathan, had already been submitted to NHRC. The letter dated December 23, 2013 was submitted yesterday. Sources close to the Presidency said that similar letters had been written to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The two anti-graft agencies are to probe allegations of economic crimes and official corruption against the Jonathan?s administration as contained in Obasanjo?s letter.
